REMC Multi-County Community Trust (Operation Roundup) recently awarded Partnership Parke County $500.00 to help with the rental fee of the Commercial Building during the Parke County 4-H Fair. The invitation of local vendors/exhibitors gives an opportunity to showcase their goods and services and also have interaction with the community. Accepting the award is Adminstrative Assistant, Alice Finch.
REMC Multi-County Community Trust (Operation Roundup) recently awarded $5,000.00 to Lyford Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD) for the purchase of replacement firehose, pediatric medical kits, firefighting gloves and 2 self-contained breather apparatus. LVFD provides fire protection to the western portion of Florida Township and rescue services to all of Florida Twp. along with portions of Wabash and Raccoon Townships. REMC Multi-County Community Trust (Operation Roundup) recently granted $3000.00 to Parke Vermillion Community Pregnancy Center (PVCPC). Monies will be used to help with renovation of a new facility. PVCPC offers a wide range of prenatal services to local women experiencing unplanned pregnancies. Services range from free pregnancy tests to counseling, education, resource referral, and an “Earn While You Learn” program which allows families to earn necessary baby and toddler supplies in exchange for attending a range of parenting classes.
